Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous Area PowerStation

The challenge: Locate a desktop PC, keyboard, and 17” monitor in a chemical producing facility. The installation area was classified as C1D2 and standard computing equipment was not allowed in the area without hazardous area protection.  The equipment was also subjected to wash down during sanitation.

Chattem purchased a purged NEMA 4X C1D2 hazardous area PowerStation, 17” industrial monitor, and non-incendive keyboard. They selected Modular because of our high quality, extensive knowledge of hazardous area computer systems, and ability to deliver on time and on budget.
