Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will hit the tour circuit for nine weeks starting in Pittsburgh on Jan. 16, Pitchfork reported. The River Tour and a scheduled Dec. 19 performance on Saturday Night Live are linked to the release of his The Ties that Bind: The River Collection box set, which went on sale Friday.

The box set has 52 tracks on four CDs and includes the 1980 album The River, the first official release of the 1979 unreleased The River: Single Album and the studio outtake-filled The River: Outtakes, Pitchfork reported. There will also be three DVDs of exclusive concert footage, a documentary about The River and other memorabilia, including a coffee table book, Stereogum reported.

Springsteen went on the original tour for the album in 1980, Billboard reported. His most recent tour celebrating Wrecking Ball and High Hopes in 2014 was his highest-grossing ever, raking in $422 million from 157 shows.

Each of the 22 shows will be recorded and downloadable online
