Eating raw salmon with wilderness adventurer Bear Grylls in the Alaskan wilderness was maybe not a box Barack Obama intended to check off his f*ck-it list this year, but it still happened — and on Dec. 17, viewers nationwide can watch the entire escapade unfold. Running Wild with Bear Grylls and President Barack Obama was filmed in September, the Daily Mail reports, and will air Thursday on NBC at 10 p.m. Eastern. The episode will be available on NBC's site thereafter.

"He said it was one of the best days of his presidency," Grylls told the Daily Mail. "There were times along the route I had to pinch myself and think, actually, 'this is the president of America.'"

Other celebrities who have appeared on Running Wild with Bear Grylls — in which Grylls demonstrates survival techniques in the world's harsher terrains — include Kate Winslet, Michelle Rodriguez, Kate Hudson, Tom Arnold and Zac Efron, among others.
