Barack Obama read mean tweets on 'Jimmy Kimmel' and it was amazing
It may not seem like it, but sometime, when cruel randos say mean stuff about President Barack Obama on the internet, he's listening. On Monday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Obama talked about Donald Trump, his wife Michelle Obama and the election. He also took part in the time-honored tradition of reading some mean tweets.
Obama read aloud tweets accusing him of everything from being the "Nickelback of presidents" to putting mustard on his hot dogs (?) to ruining conditioner.
Then he read one from someone with a familiar handle — @RealDonaldTrump. The tweet said, "President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States!"
"Well," Obama responded to the Trump tweet, "At least I will go down as a president." And then he straight-up dropped the phone on the floor.
This wasn't even Obama's first appearance on Kimmel's "mean tweets" segment — he also read some tweets from haters back in March. Watch all of Monday's segment below:
