Can you still vote for the People's Choice Awards?

Culture

The People's Choice Awards is that rare awards ceremony in which we regular folk are allowed to participate. Unfortunately, even though the site still allows you to cast a ballot for all your favorite actors and TV shows, voting closed Dec. 16 for all categories except favorite new TV comedy and favorite new TV drama, which closes Jan. 18, 2017 at 10 p.m. Eastern.

Online voting for finalists in the categories of favorite new TV comedy and favorite new TV drama continues until 10 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday. The ceremony itself, which rewards the best in film, TV and pop culture from 2016, will air on CBS at 9 p.m. Eastern the same evening.

Given that votes need to be counted, it makes sense the polls for a majority of categories closed a little over a month before the ceremony.

Community's Joel McHale will host this year's People's Choice Awards and Fifth Harmony and Blake Shelton will perform. Expected guests include Kristen Bell, Ellen DeGeneres, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, Tyler Perry, John Stamos and Kerry Washington.
