Jodie Foster Golden Globes 2013: Foster Will Receive the Cecil B. de Mille Award

Jodie Foster has been chosen to receive the Cecil B. de Mille lifetime achievement award tonight on the 70th Golden Globe Awards.

This award is given to the talents who "have made an incredible impact on the world of entertainment." Foster began her career when she was 3 years old on a commercial as The Coppertone Girl. 

Previous recipients of this award include Judy Garland, Alfred Hitchcock, Sophia Loren and Walt Disney. Foster is the first woman in 13 years to be given the award, the last being Barbra Streisand in 2000.
