Lena Dunham wins a Golden Globe for "Girls"

Culture

Tonight, Lena Dunham won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Comedy for her work in Girls. Dunham showed her passion for showbiz when accepting her award slightly out of breath and near tears saying that Tina Fey's comedy got her through her tough middle school years. Dunham also thanked Adam Driver who "basically made [her] feel not like a cartoon character".

This is Lena Dunham's first Golden Globe win and this was the only Golden Globe Girls picked up tonight at the awards.
