John Brennan in Recess As Protesters Disrupt Hearing

Impact

Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) a member of the very committee that is about to ask Brennan questions about his qualifications for the director of central intelligence position, as well as his vision for the agency, and his role in the White House's extensive drone program, introduced Brennan to the committee.

As Brennan began his remarks, he was interrupted by a protester.

He then continued and was interrupted by another one, who referenced the 16 year-old son of Anwar al-Awlaki.

That was followed by another protester.

After the fifth protester, chair Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) ordered the room cleared and that spectators be brought back in one-by-one.
