Impact

According to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, Keenan, who worked with Obama to craft his 2011 Tucson remarks after former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords (R-Ariz.) was shot, and the president have developed a "collaborative process" that will lead to Keenan "taking the lead on the speechwriting team" (a task harder than what it seems as the president has referred to outgoing speech writer Favreau as "my mind reader").
