Bobak Ferdowsi in the House For State Of the Union


"Mohawk Guy" Bobak Ferdowsi will attend tonight's State of the Union speech as a guest of Michelle Obama. Ferdowsi gained national fame last year as a systems engineer with NASA during the Mars Curiosity rover mission. Were it not for his signature hairstyle, Ferdowsi liekly never would have gained national attention and thus, the invention to tonight's State of the Union address. Maybe there's something to this terrible haircut thing after all.

Alan Aleman, DREAM Student who was born in Mexico City, Mexico. Today, Aleman is in his second year at the College of Southern Nevada. He's studying to become a doctor and he hopes to join the Air Force.

Jack Andraka, the 16-year-old winner of the 2012 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. Andraka was awarded first place for his new method to detect pancreatic cancer.

Susan Bumgarner, Early Childhood Educator. Bumgarner's home state of Oklahoma is a national leader in providing access to high quality preschool for all children.

Menchu de Luna Sanchez, Registered Nurse, NYU Langone Medical Center. When Hurricane Sandy cut the power at NYU Langone Medical Center, Sanchez devised a plan to transport twenty at-risk infants to intensive care units around the city.
