Oscars 2013 Live Stream: Watch LIVE Here

This Sunday, the Hollywood glitterati will descend upon the legendary Dolby Theatre (formerly of Kodak persuasion) to laugh, cry, cheer, jeer, mug for the camera and pat themselves on the back at the 85th annual Academy Awards. The evening will be hosted by irreverent cartoon genius and Best Song nominee Seth MacFarlane.

I, for one, can’t wait.

Now, my favorite part of the Oscars is traditionally the eye candy before it even starts — i.e., the red carpet fashion and interviews. In other words, expect some serious sartorial scrutiny. But this year, I’m also really looking forward to seeing who will (and won’t) bring home one of those much-coveted golden statuettes. Maybe that’s because, contrary to popular belief, I don’t think there are any shoe-ins. Many believe Daniel Day-Lewis will easily bag a win for Best Actor — mostly because, I’m assuming, he’s freakin’ Daniel Day-Lewis. But I found his performance in Best Picture-nominated Lincoln to be lackluster. He spent a lot of screen time sitting around looking like a guy who wants to look like he’s thinking. (Though perhaps I’m biased, as I found the film to be flimsy overall.) Given all the nominees, I rather hope Bradley Cooper wins for his stint in Silver Linings Playbook (though I’m guessing I’m not the only one).

Meanwhile, while Les Misérables took home a Golden Globe for Best Picture, I doubt it has real potential to bag an Oscar — especially since reviews were so shaky (much like Russell Crowe’s singing). Zero Dark Thirty has a good shot (haw haw) but its subject matter is likely too controversial for an Academy win. So maybe Argo? But Ben Affleck was snubbed for a Best Director nod, so perhaps that means the film is not a top contender, either. Decisions, decisions!

To find out the answers to all this and more (like whether Jennifer Lawrence will bring home a Best Actress trophy or what the heck Helena Bonham Carter is wearing), follow along with my LIVE updates here, and tune in to the 85th Academy Awards, airing on Sun., Feb. 24 at 7 EST/ 4 PST on ABC.
