Reese Witherspoon Oscars 2013: What's Going On?

Will someone clue me in? What's going on? Why does the camera keep panning to Reese Witherspoon. As far as I know the woman is not nominated. Sure she looks lovely but a lot of people look pretty lovely. 

If someone can clue me in as to why she's the woman du jour I will say a big thank you.
