Can Former Porn Star Sasha Grey Be The Best Artist of All Time? Yes Says Italian Art Critic

Culture

Check out my highlights of this super strange/amazing/hilarious interview between former porn star Sasha Grey and well renowned Italian art critic Andrea Diprè. The interview may be in half Italian but it's entirely hilarious.

Watch below:

Highlights:

0:01: Wow make this music stop now it's so awful.

0:05: Wow make this music last forever it's so amazing.

0:15: I'm so confused by this intro. I keep oscillating between total love and utter hate.

0:17: That transition was a little rough. But okay.

0:35: The art critic tells Sasha Grey that she is an "artwork" to which she replies: "HAHAHA."

1:14: The interviewer tells the former porn actress that she is one of the greatest artists of the "21 centuries" just like Michelangelo or Raffaello, to which Sasha Grey responds "Hopefully when I'm dead."

1:56: Andrea Diprè tells Sasha Grey: "you are the most important artist of our century because" ... (Italian words) "you represents" (Italian words) "the human rationality over a society who is" (more Italian words) "closed in irrationalism." "But you are a dreamer. I have a dream" Am I the only one who's supremely confused right now?

2:40: Sasha Grey asks the art critic was his dream is. His answer is simple: He wants her in his museum. Things are about to get interesting.

4:17: Andrea Diprè tells Sasha Grey that she is a "mobile work of art." She agrees.

4:40: Not sure if Sasha Grey understands the critic's question since it only had one English word in it. I think it's "essence," but don't quote me on that.

05:01: We learn that Sasha Grey is pretty bad ass. When she is asked about her position on Lotta Continue, a far left leaning extra-parliamentary party in Italy, she says that she thinks about their slogan, "the struggle continues," every day. "It's very important to me as a woman, an individual, as an artist. I'm also fascinated by the former political group. I don't agree with everything they did [...] [but] anything for the people is what I believe in."

05:37: Andrea Diprè asks Sasha Grey where she stands on the casual issue of the "castration of abusers."

6:05: After she says she believes rapists should be castrated, Andrea Diprè tells her: "for me, you are the next president of the USA."

6:46: He asks her to take the rest of the interview to draw her dream on a canvas he brought for her.

7:07: Sasha Grey answers "This is a waste of a perfectly good canvas."

7:30: The art critic responds: "It’s a greats moments. All the world is watching this video."

7:35: He tells Sasha Grey "Be free. Be free."

8:08: He tells Sasha Grey "You are extravagant."

8:15: He tells Sasha Grey "You are an abstract."

8:26: Sasha Grey says "This is the best interview I’ve ever done."

10:35: The art critic finishes the interview by saying: "This is the most important art work of the century."

For anyone who is interested in buying the piece, here it is. According to Andrea Diprè, it's worth "one million dollars."
