Cambridge Shooter May Have Been Disarmed

CNN's Drew Miller is reporting that the scene appears to have entered an "investigative phase," suggesting that the gunman has been disarmed. One MIT campus police officer has been shot and was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The gunman had supposedly fled to MIT's Stata Center after a botched robbery at a local convenience store. The shooting comes just four days after two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. It does not appear that these two incidents are linked.
