"Fair New Deal": Why All Americans Should Join FreedomWorks to Support It
FreedomWorks is a unique and phenomenal organization that really brings the fight to Congress in order ensure more freedom in our country. We should all be supporting FreedomWorks, because they stand for the true principles that our country was founded on and been active in fighting for your liberty. Now is the time that we join in on the fight and demand that our Congressmen support the "Fair New Deal."
We all know that the economy of the United States is not doing so well. We need to understand why we are in the situation we are in today. This did not happen overnight, but rather a long history of us being taxed too much, spending more than we take in, catering to special interests, and limiting the liberty of American citizens. FreedomWorks aims to change that by giving you the opportunity to change the direction of our country.
"The Fair New Deal" consists of four major points according to the FreedomWorks website. Those four points consist of ending corporate handouts, taxing fairly, stopping overspending, and empowering individuals; but what does the Fair New Deal actually propose in order to stop this from happening?
It is clear where the Fair New Deal stands when it comes to corporate handouts, as they say, "No special favors for special interests." We should not be choosing "winners and losers" when it comes to government. We should want to make our economic systems equal for all businesses to prosper and become successful. One company, whether it is a bank or not, should not be subject to a bailout, but should be subject to their responsibilities in a free market.
Today, we are overtaxed and experiencing a spending problem. Our taxing system is complex and devastating. We need to have a simplified and tax payer friendly tax code that does not choke the American people. We need to reduce taxes while reducing the amount of reckless spending that our government does not want to cut.
When it comes to government spending, the Fair New Deal will "put an end to automatic spending increases ... lower total federal spending by one percent each year to produce a balanced budget within a decade ... keeps the budget balanced through other process reforms and program reforms and eliminations." This is something that our country needs. We cannot continue to spend more money than we take in. We need to balance the budget and demand that our government cut spending. We need to reform programs that are being abused and eliminate those that do not work.
If you want to see how serious FreedomWorks is, keep in mind that actions speak louder than words. When Congressman Justin Amash was removed from the House Budget Committee, FreedomWorks stepped in to make their voice heard:
They even stood up for grassroots when the Republican National Committee changed the primary rules after the 2012 Tampa Convention:
Although it may not be popular, it's no secret that there are some representatives that take their oath of office seriously and they have shown up to vocally support the proposals. Supporters of the Fair New Deal have already lined up, consisting of:
Rep. Jeff Duncan
Rep. Jim Jordan
Rep. Doug Lamborn
Rep. Tom McClintock
Rep. Mick Mulvaney
Rep. Mike Pompeo
Rep. Tom Price,
Rep. Reid Ribble,
Rep. Mark Meadows
Rep. Matt Salmon
Rep. Justin Amash
We need to start protecting our rights and our principles now. Our government should not be quick to spend money it doesn't have, heavily tax us, or infringe on our rights. We need to stand with FreedomWorks and get the Fair New Deal passed. Contact your representatives and demand that they stand with the other congressmen supporting the proposal, such as Justin Amash, and demand fiscal responsibility. Let FreedomWorks know that you are happy to support them and want to get involved. When we embrace freedom and allow ourselves to prosper through liberty, there is nothing we can't do.
