Kentucky Derby Post Position Draw Results

The post position draw, the first major event of the Kentucky Derby, took place this Wednesday afternoon. Much less watched then the actual race, it was the event that determined the starting position of the horses for the race on Saturday.

Staring position is critical in the derby as every horse runs in a difference way. Some need the space that comes from the outside gates while other can start off well from the more interior gates.
