Jodi Arias LIVE: Closing Arguments Underway

Impact

At long last, closing arguments being today in the four month-long trial of Jodi Arias in Phoenix, Arizona. In June 2008, Arias killed her boyfriend, Travis Alexander, after she said Alexander attacked her in a rage after she dropped his camera. Arias then shot him in the head, and stabbed him 29 times, slashing his throat. The defense has argued that Arias suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, after she had suffered physical, sexual, and emotional abuse at the hands of Alexander. But the prosecution alleges that Arias had planned the killing well in advance, and thus should be found guilty of first degree murder. If convicted, Arias could face the death penalty.
