Bengazi Testimony: Fireworks Go Off In the Openings Statments
Represenative Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) and Darrell Issa (R-Cali.) have come out swinging in the opening statements.
Issa, the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee Chariman has called the Obma administration not responsive and has vowed to hold the right people accountable.
Cummings gave a long statement that stressed reports from military and intelligence officials on how it was logistically impossible for many of the reported military assets to intervene in a timely matter. He also negatively spoke of Issa’s appearances on news shows where Issa attacked the administration with several accusations, one of which was called a “Whooper” by Washington Post fact checkers.
