Red Cross Tornado Donation: How to Help Out

During his recent statement, President Obama referred those wanting to help out in the wake of the disaster to the American Red Cross:

Obama also highlighted efforts by the community of Joplin, Missouri to help those affected by the tornado in Moore. Joplin City Manager Mark Rohr has said that they are sending a team of public safety officials to Moore, after having already sent about a dozen police and firefighters on Monday to assist local authorities. Rohr says that people in Joplin, which itself was devastated by a tornado in 2011 that killed over 158 people, felt an obligation to help out.
