I5 Bridge Collapse Video: People and Cars Plunge Into Skagit River

According to the Washington State Patrol, an Interstate 5 four-lane bridge north of Seattle collapsed on Thursday evening around 7pm PDT, sending vehicles and people plunging into the Skagit River below.

The bridge was located approximately 60 miles north of Seattle in Mount Vernon, Washington. It was not immediately clear how many people or automobiles were on the bridge at the time of the collapse.

On Twitter, Trooper Mark Francis, tweeted, "N/B and S/B lanes of I-5 Skagit River Bridge collapsed. People and cars in water."
