Treat Others The Way You Want To Be Treated: Engaging Millennials in the ACA

Impact

There are two sides to every story. No matter which side is correct, one thing is for certain: Obamacare and the ACA is flawed when it comes to engaging young Americans.

What’s the biggest issue the ACA faces? It’s the lack of education and involvement by the millennial generation, which could devastate the law.

Young Americans are the ones that will have the biggest impact on the legislature, yet they are not being represented in an intelligent manner. In a string of advertisements from the liberal ProgressNow Colorado and the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative, young adults are represented as striving for binge-drinking and sexual promiscuity. These advertisements have had negative feedback from members of the Millennial generation.

Obama’s administration needs to work on rebranding their marketing initiatives to Millennials so that the administration can give the generation the respect they deserve. Without the respect and support of Millennials, the ACA is destined for failure.
