Incentivize Sign Ups by Providing Discounts for Early Adopters and Pay for Gym Memberships

Impact

Background: I am 24 years old. I still have over a year on my parents' plan, which I am pretty sure is better than Obamacare. But I don't know for sure, because with all the website issues and negative press, I haven't taken the time to compare plans. And why would I? Right now, I have no reason to - if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Solution: I bought stuff on Cyber Monday, and I know lots of people who went shopping on Black Friday. People love discounts, especially young people. You want more young people to sign up for Obamacare? Take a page out of the private sector and start offering deals for signing up by certain dates. It's simple, and it will work.

Also: The best part of my health care plan was that it offered to pay for my gym membership, as long as I went at least at least 12 times a month. EVERYONE WINS - gyms get more members, insurance providers have less costs because going to the gym keeps people healthy, and I now have financial motivation to get ripped!
