Zombie Apocalypse: Miami Cannibal Attack Lasted 18 Minutes According to Footage Video and 911 Calls

Some of the frenetic 911 calls reporting last week’s Miami face-eating attack have been released by authorities revealing that the gruesome incident in which 31-year-old Rudy Eugene chew off 75% of the victim 65-year-old Ronald Poppo’s face before being fatally shot by police lasted agonizing 18 minutes.

"He's beating another man. It's a naked man beating another man (…) He is going to kill that man. I promise you," said one of the callers. Another caller said: "He is beating another man to a pulp." Before adding that the cops wouldn’t have trouble finding the location as the attacker would stand up for being totally naked. "Can't miss him, he's naked!" the caller said.

Since the authorities suspect Eugene may have been high on a dangerous and powerful new street drug known as “bath salts” (toxicological results are still pending), attention has been focused on this new substance so strong that Eugene had to be shot at four times before stopping chewing on his victim’s face.

The horrific episode was also captured by security cameras, which footage from the nearby Miami Herald building shows several police cars parked at Miami's McArthur Causeway as well as two naked bodies laying on the floor.

A second bath salts-related cannibalistic attack was reported later in the week when 21-year-old Alexander Kinyua, accused of killing his roommate, told police in Harford County, Md., that he ate the victim's heart and part of his brain after killing him.
