Over the weekend, thousands of people nationwide turned out for the second March for Our Lives. It was the second iteration of the protest, which was first spurred in 2018 after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, by the students who survived the attack.

While politicians drag their feet on taking real action, the anti-gun violence movement is exploding at a grassroots level. And it’s clear that people are done waiting on officials who refuse to take the problem seriously.
