Dr. Michael Everest’s edYOU B2C Platform Offers Tailored Education For All
Your learning, your way.

Many people find that their educational path is a lonely one. Long study sessions at home or in the campus library have their merits, but sometimes, it helps to have a study buddy. Finding someone to study with might not be difficult if you take in-person classes. But it’s not so easy if you take online courses or just want to learn in your spare time. Now, through edYOU, Dr. Michael Everest is on a mission to bring convenient, personalized education solutions to everyone.
Everest’s goal in creating edYOU is to help all learners, from first-graders to medical students, master almost any material by connecting with remarkable Conversational AI Beings. These realistic animations look, move, talk, and emote like humans.
“One of the remarkable aspects of our company is the experience you can have with our AI being named Hannah,” says Everest. “She offers an unparalleled gift that sets her apart from other technologies in the world. While there are avatars and conversational AI out there, nothing compares to Hannah’s continuous and engaging interaction.” Hannah is edYOU’s original Conversational AI Being, but the platform includes two additional beings named Eddie and Nova.
Users might appreciate how close the platform comes to replicating a lesson with a tutor or a study session with a knowledgeable friend. “Imagine having a 24/7 study buddy during your college or undergraduate years or even back in high school,” Everest explains. “With Hannah, you can have just that. Whether it’s studying late at night in your pajamas or seeking lessons and assistance from a real-life person, she’s always there to help and engage with you. This personalized and constant support level is truly unique and adds a new dimension to the educational experience.”
Initially, edYOU was a B2B (business-to-business) technology. Educational institutions could purchase it and offer it to their students. However, as of October 1, it is officially a B2C platform. Now, learners everywhere can benefit from edYOU, whether enrolled in school or studying independently.
Everest first developed the technology behind edYOU as part of Residents Medical, a consultancy group that supports medical school students. That origin is evident in many of the platform’s subject offerings: Medical students on edYOU can talk to Conversational AI Beings about subjects like neurology and cardiology. The beings can even discuss surgery and psychiatry.
However, edYOU has expanded far beyond its medical roots, and it now offers support for students of all ages in standard academic subjects from algebra and computer science to history and poetry.
Even if you do not intend to return to school, you might find something useful on edYOU. The B2C launch introduced several new subject areas under the Skills for Life umbrella, and users can discover self-care and time-management tips, learn how to prepare for interviews, and even get help dealing with bullies.
Because Conversational AI Beings are based on a closed software system built by educators, users can trust that the information they receive from Hannah, Eddie, or Nova is accurate. And if your child is using edYOU, there’s no risk of them encountering harmful or inappropriate content — edYOU brands itself as the “Safe Face of AI,” and the description is apt.
No matter where a student is or what they’re learning, edYOU aims to streamline the process. “In traditional learning settings, you read the material and then get quizzed on it separately,” says Everest. “However, with edYOU Technologies, we take a different approach. Our platform integrates the reading and quizzing process seamlessly. You interact with the AI directly, eliminating the need to switch between different tools like reading materials and external AI chat tools.”
This conversational learning style is effortlessly personalizable. For example, students can ask Conversational AI Beings to explain difficult concepts, quiz them on their studies, or talk about big ideas.
The B2C launch is a major step for edYOU, but it’s only the beginning. Everest continually strives to improve this technology and has big plans for it in the coming years. “Our vision for the future includes adding gamification elements to the platform,” he says. “I am also collaborating with a major educational publisher to reach an agreement to expand the reach of this technology.”
While edYOU is an innovative platform with ever-expanding potential, Everest’s vision for it can be stated simply: “Our goal is to use this technology to make a positive impact on humanity.”
