Amanda Reyes is a PhD student in the History of Consciousness program at the University of California Santa Cruz. Her interests lie in the areas of infertility and assisted reproductive technologies, social movements of the U.S. South, and feminist film and visual studies. She is also involved in organizing around reproductive and sexual justice issues as the founding President of the Alabama Alliance for Sexual and Reproductive Justice (a campus chapter of the national non-profit reproductive justice organization Choice USA) at the University of Alabama and a member of the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health’s Latina Action Network.
