Brent Woodie

Brent Woodie is a native of the Bronx, New York. He is a graduate of The State University of New York at Albany with a B.A. in English. After graduation, he spent five-years as an accountant and journalist for The Source Magazine. As a staff writer for The Source, he interviewed personalities in politics, entertainment and the arts. He has featured pieces on N.B.A Cares, Hurricane Katrina and the election of President Barack Obama. In the spring of 2009, he spent time as an editorial intern on The Charlie Rose Show on PBS. On Charlie Rose Show he assisted with the shows daily broadcast, facilitating guests such as Michael Bloomberg, Mike Tyson and Henry Kissinger. Following his passion for the news business, he worked as a Broadcast Desk Assistant for PBS NewsHour, where he furthered his experience on broadcast news. Recently he spends time working for Congressman Joseph Crowley and The Drug Policy Alliance. In the meantime, he continues to follow the top political stories of the day and following every N.B.A game on league pass.
