Jacob Lewis is VP, Publishing Director of Crown Books. He is the former Managing Editor of The New Yorker magazine, where he worked for more than twelve years. Jacob left The New Yorker in 2007 to help launch and run, as the managing editor, Conde Nast Portfolio. Before joining Crown, he was the co-founder and CEO of Figment, an online community for teens and young adults to create, discover, and share new reading and writing. Jacob received a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
