Jayson Browder

Jayson is a multi-award winning Air Force and Iraq Veteran who has earned several medals that include Meritorious service and a Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. A graduate of Fordham University, he was named a National Finalist for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship in 2012 and was recently awarded the William J. Fulbright Scholarship for 2013 to Turkey. Currently Jayson holds a position as a Military Legislative Assistant for Congressman Beto O’Rourke in the United States House of Representatives. There he advises the member on bill sponsorship, vote recommendations, and proposes amendments and new legislation. His portfolio consists of all military related issues to include Armed Services, Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, and Foreign Affairs. While studying at Fordham University Jayson focused on international sociology and Latin American Studies culminating in a BA in Sociology and Latin American and Latino Studies. His studies were complemented by positions working for United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, New York State Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal, and more recently at The White House in the Office of Legislative Affairs and Presidential Correspondence.
