Open on my bedside table are the globalization paradox, living in the end times, and nymag's 26 stories of the past 5 years. On the opposite shelf are glenmorangie, laphroaig, and 1800, just to keep the conversation honest. I feel privileged to live in a Tunisia in transition, and to reflect on what goes on here with data points from other parts of the world.
