Jonathan M. Katz is a journalist based in Durham, N.C. He is a former Associated Press correspondent whose book about the Haiti earthquake and response, The Big Truck That Went By, won the 2013 Overseas Press Club of America award for the year's best book on foreign affairs. Katz has written recently for the New Republic, New York Times, New Yorker, and other publications.
