Monica is a graduate of the University of Maryland where she earned a degree in Arabic Studies and English Literature. She recently returned from a year studying Arabic in Egypt and Morocco, and has also had spent time studying in Israel. She now works as a community organizer for a non-profit in Washington D.C.
