Rahul Rekhi

A junior at Rice University studying for a B.S. in Bioengineering and a B.A. in Economics, Rahul is interested in exploring the nexus of health, science, and policy. He has conducted biomedical research at Rice and at the MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Goldwater Scholar, spent a summer working at the National Science Foundation, and teaches an undergraduate course on public policy. Deeply passionate about scientific outreach, he founded the Research Mentorship Initiative, a grant-winning nonprofit organization with a mission to introduce inner-city students to scientific research. A Truman Scholar, he also has worked to link biomedical science with health policy through the Health Care Center of the Roosevelt Institute Campus Network.
