Roshanak Mehdipanah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education in the School of Public Health. She completed her PhD at the University of Pompeu Fabra, Spain and her M.Sc. from the University of Waterloo, Canada. She is an urban health researcher with a focus on housing as a determinant of health. She leads several projects in this area including health evaluations of housing policies on affordability and discrimination within the U.S.A. Her work is interdisciplinary, working with researchers from urban planning and community organizations. Dr. Mehdipanah's work ultimately aims to integrate housing resources into health care settings in the form of community-clinic partnerships that benefit, individuals, hospitals and communities.
