Sarah Palin Porn Stars to Entertain Republicans During Tampa GOP Convention

Impact

Preparations for the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida, are underway and the adult industry is getting ready for the influx of over 40,000 Republican delegates and supporters who will be attending the RNC. They are advertising their facilities and taking reservations to attract business to some of Florida’s finest adult entertainment facilities.

Tampa has a reputation for its high concentration of strip clubs and adult entertainment. The movie Magic Mike, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starred by Channing Tatum, was set and filmed in Tampa -- loosely based in Tatum’s Tampa stint as a male stripper at age 19.

And this August, real-life adult entertainers such a Lisa Ann, famous for portraying former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin in the XXX film Who’s Nailin’ Paylin? will appear at strip club "Thee Dollhouse" on August 24 and 25. Many other famous performers will follow suit (for those interested).

Tampa's "The Penthouse Club" has also installed new VIP sections for those looking for a little more privacy. This will be especially convenient after the story of the RNC paying for a bondage-themed club broke out in 2010. However, there are usually few if any scandals expected from RNC after-parties this year.

Unfortunately, there is an expected increase in prostitution and sex trafficking as a result of the rush of the high concentration of delegates, reporters, camera crew and others, though the statistics are less certain on the topic. For more educational statistics on Tampa’s adult entertainment, the experts at Tampa Bay Times have made an informative poster here.
