Is Nicki Minaj Engaged to Meek Mill? Rapper Sets the Record Straight About Her 2 Rings

It seems as though new rumors circulate each month surrounding Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill's relationship status, with a constant storm of speculation clouding both artists' music. Though Minaj has certainly added to the confusion, donning multiple rings on her wedding ring finger and posting them to Instagram with captions like, "Now this is what I'm talking about baby. Lol. Love u @MeekMill, RANG finga whr da rock iiizzzzzzzz," the "Feelin' Myself" rapper set the record straight in an interview published Thursday in Billboard.

"He and I are not engaged," Minaj stated very clearly to Billboard reporter Jody Rosen. "But he said he would like to give me three rings before we get married. My birthday's coming up, and he better get the new one, because he got [the first one] for my last birthday. So let's see what happens."

Minaj first added fuel to the fire when she uploaded multiple pictures to her social media accounts showing off a diamond-encrusted ring beginning in April, following her birthday in December 2014. The second ring was apparently given to Minaj from Meek Mill for her 33rd birthday, meaning she still has one more to go until the two will take their relationship to the next level, according to Minaj.

Minaj showed off her first diamond ring on Instagram while on set of their music video, "All Eyes On You."

So, for now, the two are only dating, while taking their time to learn and maneuver their exploding statuses as some of the hottest (and most controversial) rappers in the industry.

"We speak about it," Minaj told Billboard, discussing the challenges she faces dating another celebrity. "We actually spoke with Jay Z and Beyoncé about it, too. After our show at [Brooklyn's] Barclays Center [in October], we had dinner together. They were so giving with advice. I love them so much. It was just a beautiful conversation to have with people we love and we look up to as a couple. They're so strong."
