Monday Night TV Cancelled Due to Hurricane Sandy: Dancing with the Stars, Revolution Are Still All New

Culture

If you had visions of a stormy night in catching up on new shows, I hate to burst your bubble but it looks like that probably won't be happening. In light of the ongoing hurricane battering the East Coast, and the imminent power outages that will ensue, networks have decided to cancel their Monday night lineup in favor of either repeats or Hurricane Sandy coverage.

CBS and the CW have both decided to postpone their new episodes, many of which were Halloween focused, until next week. On the list of shows being postponed on CBS are: How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Partners, Hawaii Five-O and Mike and Molly. The CW is also postponing their new episodes of Gossip Girl and 90210 which were both set to air tonight. Other shows off the air this evening are Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Daily Show, and the Colbert Report.

NBC and ABC have both decided to keep their line ups as scheduled. So if you need your television fix, Dancing with the Stars, Castle, The Voice, and Revolution will all be airing as normal.

At 10 p.m. CBS will air a live special about Hurricane Sandy.

If you are trapped inside tonight with power and no TV shows of your fancy, a movie night might be more like it. Check out PolicyMic's list of hurricane ready movies for a little cinema inspiration.
