Kevin Durant: Will Donate $1 Million to Moore Tornado Relief Effort

NBA start Kevin Durant, who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, has donated $1 million to the Red Cross fund for tornado relief following the destruction wrought by the deadly storm on Monday.

According to the Red Cross, the donation from the Kevin Durant Family Foundation is designed not only to match other donations, but also as an incentive for others to contribute. Janienne Bella, regional CEO of the Red Cross, told the Daily Oklahoman that, "Mr. Durant’s gift and support to Oklahoma comes at a time of great need and we’re forever thankful for his generosity."
