After a year working on a small, diversified vegetable farm and the past 7 months on a mid-sized apple orchard, I have developed a keen interest in finding ways to expand the local food system into a more accessible and affordable regional system. Presently, I am organizing a pilot study for regionally grown and lightly processed fruits and vegetables. I work under the guise of Barney Hodges, who owns Sunrise Orchards and Vermont Refrigerated Storage, and I graduated with honors from Middlebury College in February 2010.
