Miriam Meyers Rothstein

Mary Meyers Rothstein was born February 10, 1946 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She is a National Indoor and Outdoor speed skating Champion and North American Outdoor Champion. Rothstein was a World Team member several times, winning gold medal in the 500 meter in 1967. Also, she captured the Olympic 500 meter silver medal in 1968. Rothstein is a developer, coach and promoter of the Northern Lights Association for novice skaters. She was elected to the National Speed Skating Hall of Fame on May 17, 1980 in Bloomington, Minnesota.
